The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
